Chevalier, Paris Saint-Germain Goalkeeper: "My Career Could Have Taken a Different Turn Due to the Tackle, But I Was Lucky"
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier spoke about his feelings after a strong and dangerous tackle from Lamine Camara during the match against Monaco, which ended in a 0-1 defeat for his team. Chevalier sustained an injury to his right ankle in the incident.
The goalkeeper chose not to comment on the referee's decision, who only showed Camara a yellow card instead of a red, expressing his happiness that he did not suffer a serious injury at that moment.
Chevalier did not want to stir controversy, stating to "Ligue 1+" regarding the tackle: "I think everyone saw what happened. My career could have taken a different turn today, but I was very lucky."
When asked again about the incident, Chevalier denied that he dwelled on the strong challenge that required him to receive some treatment during the match, asserting: "I think there are actions that we sometimes need to avoid. I was very lucky today."
Regarding his team's defeat, their second of the season in the French league, the French international added: "I don't think we deserved better than this result. When facing a good team like Monaco, if you don't perform as required, it's difficult to hope for a better outcome."
