Portugal Crowned U17 World Cup Champions for First Time in History

Portugal's national team clinched the U17 World Cup title for the first time in their history, after overcoming Austria with a 1-0 victory in the final match. The game took place on Wednesday at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, the Qatari capital.

The Portuguese squad secured the winning goal in the 32nd minute, scored by Anísio Cláudio Cabral.

Portugal had qualified for the U17 World Cup final by defeating Brazil in a penalty shootout in the semi-finals, while Austria reached the same stage after overcoming Italy.
