Baha: "We Are Ready for Portugal, Tomorrow We'll Show a Different Side of Our National Team"
Nabil Baha, coach of the Moroccan U17 national team, confirmed that his team is ready to face Portugal tomorrow, Thursday (13:30 GMT+1), in the second round of the U17 World Cup group stage.
Baha stated in press remarks: "Now, what we must do is focus on tomorrow's match against Portugal, and not think about the result the senior national team achieved against Portugal previously. For us, the match will be completely different; they are children aged 16 and 17, we should not put any pressure on them."
He continued: "We know how to deal with them to win this match. It's a different game from the 2022 World Cup. We are strongly looking forward to winning it, and certainly, we are well prepared. Tomorrow, we will show another face of our national team."
He added: "It's natural for them to feel sad after losing the previous match, but then they must think positively, because we don't have much time to prepare for the Portugal match. This role falls on us as a coaching staff, to talk with them, support them, and tell them the necessity of putting in more effort."
He concluded: "They must be positive to change their mindset, quickly focus on the Portugal match, leave behind the mistakes we made against Japan, and immediately think about the next game."
