Morocco's U17 national team resumed training today in Doha, Qatar, following their defeat to Japan in the FIFA U17 World Cup. The Atlas Cubs are preparing to face Portugal this coming Thursday in a crucial Group B encounter.

The Moroccan squad held its first training session since the Japan match, with head coach Nabil Baha and his technical staff focusing on physical recovery and mental rejuvenation for the players.

During a meeting held before the session, Baha urged his players to forget the previous result and concentrate fully on the upcoming game against Portugal, emphasizing the importance of calm and self-confidence ahead of this challenging fixture.

The training session was characterized by a positive atmosphere and high team spirit. The technical staff worked on correcting certain tactical aspects, particularly in the defensive line, while also focusing on quick transitions from defense to attack.

Meanwhile, Portuguese forward Yoan Pereira affirmed that his national team would approach the match against Morocco with "the utmost seriousness," praising the Moroccan team's strength and tactical organization.

He stated, "Morocco is a strong and organized team, and we will play the match with full concentration to achieve victory and qualify."

Some Portuguese players also noted that the match would be difficult, but expressed confidence in their ability to secure a positive result against a team they described as "the toughest opponent in the group."

Nabil Baha's squad aims to regain their balance and achieve a positive result against Portugal to keep their hopes of qualifying for the next round of the tournament alive.
