Nabil Baha, coach of the Moroccan U17 national team, affirmed that the 0-6 defeat against Portugal in the second round of the U17 World Cup group stage was an important lesson for the young players and an opportunity to correct mistakes in upcoming matches.

Baha stated in press remarks: "There was a significant gap in quality between the two teams, and a big difference in performance. Our players tried their best to win, but we must learn from this experience and identify what we didn't do correctly."

He added: "Some things were not executed as required, but the tournament is not over yet, and we still have time to correct our performance. We spoke with the players after the Japan match and provided them with everything necessary to build their confidence. We conducted video analysis before facing Portugal and told them they were capable of winning, but today the desired result was not achieved. Honestly, today I didn't recognize my team, and I didn't clearly understand their performance."

He continued: "There is still another match where we must secure a win, and we need to forget this game quickly, despite the difficulty of forgetting six goals. The players are young and still learning, and what happened will be a lesson for their future. They must progress and learn that playing for their national team is a great responsibility, and they represent the national jersey."

He concluded: "No one will criticize them harshly for their mistakes; instead, we will continue to work with them to improve performance. The team's success depends on collective effort, not on an individual. The players gave their all, and we still have a chance to win the upcoming matches."
