Arab Cup: Oman Qualifies, Joins Morocco and Saudi Arabia in Group
The Oman national team secured their spot in the 2025 Arab Cup finals, set to be held in Qatar, after defeating Somalia 4-1 in a penalty shootout during their qualifying match.
The game concluded with a goalless draw after both regular and extra time, before "The Reds" of Oman clinched the victory through their superior performance in the penalty shootout, thereby booking their place in the prestigious Arab tournament.
With this qualification, Oman will join Group B, which already features the national teams of Morocco and Saudi Arabia, alongside the winner of the upcoming match between Yemen and Comoros.
Oman is set to be Morocco's second opponent in the competition in Qatar. The two sides will face each other on December 5th at Education City Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:30 PM Moroccan time.
