CAF Awards: Bounou Crowned Best Goalkeeper in Africa for 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed this Wednesday evening the winner of the Best Goalkeeper award on the continent for the year 2023.
Yassine Bounou won the Best Goalkeeper in Africa award, surpassing his compatriot Mounir El Mohamedi, goalkeeper for RS Berkane, and South African Ronwen Williams, goalkeeper for Mamelodi Sundowns.
The CAF Awards ceremony, taking place in Rabat at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, has so far witnessed a Moroccan dominance of the awards, with several Moroccan figures and teams recognized: Dounia El Madani as Best Young Player (Female), Othmane Maamma as Best Young Player (Male), and the Morocco U20 National Team as Best National Team.
