Wydad Continues Preparations at "Wellness" Complex Ahead of Confederation Cup Group Stage Kick-off

Wydad Athletic Club continues its intensive preparations for the start of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, where they are set to face Kenyan side Nairobi United in the first round.

The Red Castle held an evening training session this Monday at the "Wellness" complex on the outskirts of Casablanca, as part of the preparatory program devised by the technical staff.

The session saw the absence of four prominent players: Hamza Hanouri, Mohamed Mofid, and Mehdi Benabid, who are currently with the Moroccan B national team camp. Also absent was Burkinabe international Stephen Aziz Ki, who is participating with his national team in a preparatory camp also held in Casablanca.

Wydad is preparing to play its first group stage match in the coming days, amid a strong desire among the club's members to achieve a positive start and restore the team's continental prominence.

Wydad will host their Kenyan opponents next Sunday at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, with the match kicking off at 8:00 PM.
