Mayela: "Lorch is the Best Player I've Played With, His Performance at Wydad is No Surprise"

Former Orlando Pirates player Innocent Mayela has praised his former teammate Thembinkosi Lorch, asserting that Lorch is the best player he has ever played alongside throughout his career with the South African club.

Mayela explained that Lorch's current performance with Wydad AC is not surprising, emphasizing that the Moroccan club's forward possesses exceptional talent.

Speaking on the "Mike Morton Speaks Football" podcast, Mayela added that Lorch has delivered excellent performances since joining Wydad, scoring five goals and making significant contributions in various competitions this season, which reflects his substantial development compared to his previous stint in South Africa.

He concluded by stating that Lorch deserves an opportunity to join the South African national team, "Bafana Bafana," but acknowledged that the final decision rests with coach Hugo Broos.
