Wydad Claims Sole Lead in League After Eighth Round

Wydad Athletic Club claimed sole leadership of the Professional League after securing a 2-1 victory over Olympique Safi in a match from the eighth round. This result allowed them to pull away from their competitors at the top of the standings.
The win also saw Wydad break their partnership with AS FAR, who were held to a goalless draw at home against Maghreb Fez, keeping their points tally at 18. Wydad now boasts 20 points, accumulated from six wins and two draws, while AS FAR has 18 points from five wins and three draws.
