Wydad AC Claims Botola Pro Lead, Inflicts Fifth Defeat on Olympique Safi (2-1)

Wydad AC defeated hosts Olympique Safi 2-1 in a match played on Sunday, as part of the eighth round of the Botola Pro.
South African Themba Lorch successfully scored the first goal for the Red Castle in the 26th minute. His teammate Nour-Eddine Amrabat then added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 45+5th minute.
After the break, Olympique Safi managed to reduce the deficit through Soufiane El Moudane, who successfully converted a penalty kick in the 80th minute.
With this result, Wydad AC climbed to the top of the Botola Pro standings with 20 points, while Olympique Safi occupies the last position with 5 points.
