Abboub: "Refereeing Errors in Wydad's Goals, Wished for VAR Review to End Controversy!"

Zakaria Abboub, coach of Olympique Safi, strongly criticized the refereeing staff who officiated his team's 2-1 defeat to Wydad AC in the eighth round of the Professional League.

In press statements after the match, Abboub said: "I reiterate my apology to the Safi fans and congratulate my team's players for their reaction in the second half."

He added: "There were refereeing errors in both Wydad AC's first and second goals, and the referee did not consult VAR. We wanted the referee to review both goals to remove the controversy, and there would have been nothing wrong with him doing so."

Abboub concluded his remarks by stating: "I promise the fans, who are not satisfied with losing, especially at Al-Massira Stadium, that we will achieve positive results in the upcoming matches."
