Morocco National Team Wins Friendly 1-0 Against Mozambique
The Moroccan national team defeated their Mozambican counterparts 1-0 in a friendly match played this Friday evening at the Grand Stade de Tanger, which was inaugurated after its renovation.
Azzedine Ounahi scored Morocco's opening goal early in the seventh minute, becoming the first player to score at the Grand Stade de Tanger since its renovation. The Moroccan team subsequently attempted to extend their lead with several chances, but these lacked the necessary effectiveness to be converted into goals.
In the second half, the "Atlas Lions" continued their pressure on Mozambique's goal. Ayoub El Kaabi missed a penalty in the 57th minute, and Brahim Díaz came close to scoring in the 69th minute, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
The Moroccan national team is scheduled to face Uganda in another friendly match next Tuesday at 8:00 PM (GMT+1) at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
