Ben Seghir Picks Morocco's 90th-Minute AFCON Final Penalty Taker: "Anyone But Hakimi"

Moroccan international Elias Ben Seghir seemingly hasn't forgotten the penalty missed by his compatriot Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain right-back, against South Africa in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations "Côte d'Ivoire 2023".

During an advertising event, Ben Seghir was asked which player he would choose to take a penalty for the Moroccan national team in the 90th minute of an AFCON final. He responded: "Any player except Hakimi."

Hakimi had missed a penalty against South Africa in the 82nd minute of the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 match, which ultimately ended in a 2-0 victory for "Bafana Bafana".
