Baha: "We Thank Fans for Support Despite Harsh Criticism After Portugal Match; We'll Show a Different Face If We Qualify"

Nabil Baha, coach of the Moroccan U-17 national team, discussed the reason behind his players' brilliant performance in their emphatic 16-0 victory over New Caledonia, affirming that the national squad will present a different face should they qualify for the next round of the U-17 World Cup.

Following the crushing 16-0 win against New Caledonia, Baha stated in press remarks: "We thank the Moroccan fans who came to support us, even though they can be harsh with us, especially after the manner of our defeat against Portugal."

He continued: "It was important to score a large number of goals to qualify for the next round, and we will then show a different face. What changed is that we were playing under immense pressure, but after that, we had nothing left to lose; we just had to win."

He added: "It must also be said that the New Caledonia team was easier than Portugal and Japan, to be frank. But it was crucial for us to score many goals, especially since we had a goal difference of -8 after the first two matches, and now we have +8, which is very important."

Baha concluded: "I hope we continue in this manner in the next match. I have confidence, and now we will return to the hotel with the players happy, which is what we want."
