
Morocco Dominates New Caledonia 16-0, Boosts U-17 World Cup Qualification Hopes
The Moroccan U-17 national team secured a resounding 16-0 victory over New Caledonia on Sunday in their third and final group stage match of the U-17 World Cup.
The "Atlas Cubs" entered the match with strong determination, opening the scoring early through Bilal Socrate in the third minute, followed by Walid Ben Salah's second goal in the 11th minute.
Ben Salah continued his impressive performance, netting Morocco's third goal. New Caledonia's challenges mounted further when one of their players received a red card in the 22nd minute.
Morocco capitalized on their numerical advantage, continuing their goal-scoring spree. Abdelali Daoudi scored the fourth and fifth goals in the 41st and 42nd minutes, respectively, before Hidaoui added the sixth in the 44th minute. Baha concluded the first half's scoring with the seventh goal in stoppage time.
The Moroccans maintained absolute control in the second half. Elkhalfioui scored the eighth goal in the 48th minute, Baha added his second and the team's ninth in the 50th minute, and El Haddani made it ten in the 55th minute.
Morocco's attacking machine continued relentlessly. El Haddani scored his second and the team's eleventh goal in the 59th minute, with the 12th, 13th, and 14th goals following in quick succession, showcasing the formidable offensive strength of coach Nabil Baha's squad.
This emphatic victory significantly boosts Morocco's hopes of qualifying for the next round of the tournament. The 16-0 win marks the largest result in the current edition of the U-17 World Cup and the biggest victory in the tournament's history.
