Baha: "Tomorrow Awaits an Important Match Against New Caledonia, We Must Win to Keep Our Qualification Hopes Alive"
Nabil Baha, head coach of the Moroccan U17 national team, affirmed that tomorrow's match against New Caledonia (14:30 GMT+1) will be crucial for the "Atlas Cubs" in their FIFA U17 World Cup group stage campaign. The game is part of the third and final round of the group stage.
Speaking to the media ahead of the New Caledonia clash, Baha stated: "We have not yet shown the true face of this team, and tomorrow an important match awaits us that we must win to keep our qualification hopes alive."
He added: "Even though we haven't achieved what we should have in the previous two matches, our message to the players is clear: they must remain positive and not allow doubt to creep in. They need to believe in themselves because they can defeat any team."
Baha concluded his remarks by saying: "God willing, after the New Caledonia match, we will get out the calculator to see what happens. The important thing now is for the players to gain confidence and know how to manage the game until the end."
He finished: "Victory does not come in the first few minutes; the match lasts 90 minutes. If we score in the 90th or 95th minute, the most important thing is to win and secure three points, which would place us among the best third-placed teams."
