New Caledonia FA: Our Team Believes in Its Ability to Surprise Morocco
The official website of the New Caledonia Football Federation published a report discussing the upcoming match between their U-17 national team and Morocco, set to take place in the final round of the group stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup currently being held in Qatar.
The report affirmed that the New Caledonian team, despite the fatigue from long travel and the pressure of matches, still believes in its ability to achieve a new feat against the Moroccan national team, which the report described as “uninspired so far” in the tournament.
The same source added, “The players enter the match without psychological pressure, and they hope that conditions will be favorable to achieve a positive result against one of Africa's major footballing powers, and to continue their adventure in the global competition.”
The New Caledonia Football Federation concluded its report by noting that the team's previous 0-0 draw against Japan boosted the players' morale, making them believe in the possibility of surprising Morocco and securing a spot in the next round.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan national team approaches this encounter under pressure for a result, having suffered two consecutive defeats against Japan and Portugal. They aim for a decisive victory to keep alive their slim hopes of advancing as one of the best third-placed teams, despite the mathematical difficulties and complexities of the task.
