Morocco U17 Players: 'It's Not Easy to Lose Two Matches and Still Have Fan Support; We Must Fight for Them'
Players of the Moroccan U17 national team have extended a message of gratitude to Moroccan fans for their unwavering support, assuring them that they will present a different performance should they qualify for the Round of 16 at the U17 World Cup.
Speaking to the press after their dominant 16-0 victory over New Caledonia, Abdelaali Daoudi stated: "This win is due to the team spirit, and we dedicate it to the Moroccan fans who have supported us through all the sad and joyful moments. We thank our supporters immensely for their encouragement." He continued, "It's not easy to lose two matches and still have the crowd supporting you; it's a shame not to fight for them. Thank God they left happy and proud."
For his part, Moroccan U17 goalkeeper Chouaib Belaârouch commented: "The previous two matches against Japan and Portugal were not easy, in addition to the difficulty of the last encounter. We re-evaluated ourselves in the last match, and thankfully we achieved a result. We hope to continue this path and qualify for the next round."
Ziad Baha, in turn, said: "We had to win this match 100%, and we did. We hope to go far, all the way to the end, to make our Moroccan fans happy. We were motivated in all matches, but I think we felt some pressure in the previous games." He added: "We knew this match would be decisive. Now our real competition begins, and we hope to deliver the same performance in all upcoming matches (should we qualify for the next round)."
