Neymar: "I Feel Like an 18-Year-Old Playing in His First World Cup"
Brazilian star Neymar da Silva spoke about his participation with his national team in the 2026 World Cup, describing his feeling as if he were an 18-year-old playing in the tournament for the first time in his career.
This marks Neymar's fourth World Cup appearance, following his participation in the 2010, 2014, and 2022 editions.
Speaking to Brazilian channel "Globo," Neymar stated: "Although this is my fourth World Cup appearance, my feeling is completely different, given everything surrounding it, and of course, it will be my last."
He continued: "I feel like an 18-year-old playing in his first World Cup."
He concluded: "I am very proud and happy to be here. I will enjoy every second of this tournament, and I hope it will be special."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team will face its Brazilian counterpart at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey next Saturday (23:00 GMT+1) in their first Group C match of the World Cup.
