Brazilian FA Must Make Final Decision on Neymar's Squad Inclusion Before Monday
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is awaiting an update on star player Neymar's injury before making a final decision on his inclusion in the national team squad for the World Cup.
According to Brazilian network "ge globo," the CBF is required to make a definitive decision regarding Neymar's retention in the squad before next Monday.
The same source clarified that if the technical staff decides to exclude Neymar, an official medical report confirming the player's inability to participate in the World Cup must be submitted.
It is worth noting that the "Seleção" doctor had confirmed Neymar is suffering from a calf injury, which will sideline him for a period of two to three weeks. This means he will miss the friendly matches preceding the start of the 2026 World Cup, a significant blow to Brazil's preparations during this phase.
The player could also miss Brazil's opening match at the World Cup against Morocco if he does not fully recover within the stipulated timeframe.
