Neymar's Injury More Serious Than Expected, Could Miss Brazil Friendlies Against Panama and Egypt
Reports indicate that Brazilian star Neymar's situation remains uncertain, with conflicting information surrounding the nature of his calf muscle injury.
Brazilian channel TNT Sports reported that what was initially believed to be a mere edema could be a more serious injury, casting doubt on his availability for the upcoming period.
Neymar is scheduled to undergo further medical examinations tomorrow at the Brazilian Football Confederation, alongside other national team players. These tests aim to precisely determine the nature of his injury and establish a treatment or rehabilitation plan, if necessary, in preparation for the World Cup, the same source added.
The Brazilian channel also reported that Neymar is likely to miss Brazil's two upcoming friendly matches: against Panama on May 31 at Maracana Stadium, and against Egypt on June 5 in the United States.
Furthermore, the player is expected to undergo additional tests upon joining the national team camp tomorrow, Wednesday, at Granja Comary, to determine his final participation status.
