Ancelotti: 'The Team That Can Conceal Its Weaknesses Will Win the World Cup'
Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian national team, has ruled out the existence of a clear favorite to win the 2026 World Cup title, considering the competition wide open among numerous teams capable of going far in the tournament.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of Brazil's friendly match against Egypt, Ancelotti stated that the differences between major national teams have become minimal, making it difficult to nominate a specific team to win the title.
The Italian coach explained: "Honestly, today I don't see one team as a favorite above all others. There are many competitive teams capable of winning the World Cup, but no single team clearly stands out from the rest. I believe the team that will be crowned champion is the one that will be able to hide its weaknesses."
Ancelotti's statements come as Brazil prepares for the 2026 World Cup, where they are placed in Group C alongside Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti. The "Seleção" will kick off their campaign against the Moroccan national team on June 13 (23:00 GMT+1).
