
Royal Moroccan Football Federation Holds General Assemblies, Approves New Amendments
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) convened its Extraordinary General Assembly, immediately followed by its Ordinary General Assembly, on Friday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex. The meetings were attended by representatives from various components of the national football family.
The Extraordinary General Assembly commenced after the quorum was confirmed. FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa delivered a speech, affirming that these gatherings are part of the continuous reform process in Moroccan football, aimed at consolidating its achievements and sustaining the development witnessed in recent years.
Lekjaa emphasized that the successes achieved by national football are primarily due to the insightful vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He lauded His Majesty's special support and attention to the sports sector in general, and football in particular, through his continuous oversight of major projects across the Kingdom in this field.
The FRMF President also commended the efforts made by various elements of the national football system, including clubs, regional leagues, technical and administrative staff, and officials. He highlighted that collective work and coordination among stakeholders have contributed to the positive continental and international results now being reaped by Moroccan football.
Lekjaa underscored the importance of continuing reforms and developing operational mechanisms to strengthen Moroccan football's position on the global stage, especially with major upcoming events awaiting the Kingdom, foremost among them the organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup finals.
The Extraordinary General Assembly unanimously approved a series of amendments to certain provisions of the Federation's statutes, in line with the requirements of the new phase of national football.
Subsequently, the Ordinary General Assembly took place, during which the moral and financial reports were approved, and various points on the agenda were discussed.
The General Assemblies concluded with the recitation of a message of allegiance and loyalty to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, affirming the national football family's unwavering commitment to the glorious Alawite throne and its fidelity to national constants.
