La Liga Football Director Florete: "Morocco Has Deservedly Established Itself as One of the Strongest Teams in the World"
Juan Florete, Director of the Football Department at La Liga, has affirmed that the Moroccan national team has solidified its position among the world's elite teams, following its remarkable results in recent years at both continental and international levels.
In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP), Florete said: "Morocco has deservedly established itself as one of the strongest teams in the world, thanks to the significant results it has achieved and the clear development Moroccan football has witnessed."
He added: "The strength of the Moroccan national team lies in the great balance within the squad, combining the enthusiasm of young players with the experience of seasoned elements, which gives the team a strong character on the field."
The Spanish official also expressed his best wishes for the "Atlas Lions" in the upcoming World Cup finals, praising the level of performance displayed by Moroccan players in various European leagues.
He continued: "Moroccan players are now strongly present in both the first and second divisions in Spain. Furthermore, Moroccan nationality is among the most represented nationalities in Spanish training centers, second only to Spaniards, which is an important indicator of the quality of Moroccan talent."
Florete noted that Moroccan players possess great talent and tactical maturity, which helps them adapt quickly to the demands of Spanish football.
He also affirmed that Morocco is an important strategic partner for La Liga, highlighting that cooperation between the two sides continues through several projects and training programs, including the "Next Gen Draft" program, which offers young Moroccan talents the opportunity for a training experience in Spain.
He concluded by emphasizing the importance of the 2030 World Cup, which will be jointly organized by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, considering that the coming years will see further strengthening of football cooperation between the two countries.
