Journalist Labels AS FAR Penalty 'Phantom,' Hassania Coach Al-Tayr Responds: 'You've Said It For Me'
Hilal Al-Tayr, coach of Hassania Agadir, commented on the penalty kick awarded to AS FAR during their match in the 20th round of the Professional League.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Al-Tayr stated, "We played a good and open match, which saw several goals scored. It was balanced for most of its duration, and we could have sealed the win earlier."
He added, "We played a match without errors, but we were shocked in the 90th minute by a penalty kick." When a journalist interjected, calling it "phantom," Al-Tayr responded, "You've taken the words right out of my mouth. The club's management and the refereeing directorate will review these decisions."
AS FAR was awarded the penalty kick during stoppage time. Mohamed Rabie Hrimat successfully converted it, scoring the third goal in the match, which the military team ultimately won 3-2.
