Damiaa: "We Defeated Ourselves Against Nahdat Zemamra, and the Road Ahead is Still Long"

Kawkab Marrakech coach Hicham Damiaa expressed his disappointment following the 2-1 defeat to Nahdat Zemamra in a match described as difficult and full of crucial moments.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Damiaa stated that the game pitted two teams fighting for survival. He noted that his players started the encounter well and managed to dominate in one-on-one battles during significant phases of play.

The Kawkab coach explained that his team created numerous opportunities throughout the match, but the final touch was missing from the players. He added that some minor details were directly responsible for them failing to secure a positive outcome.

Damiaa further added that his team "defeated themselves," referring to the errors committed by the players that led to them conceding crucial goals. He affirmed, however, that the path ahead in the league race remains long and challenging.
