Barcelona President's Advisor Confirms Club Nearing Flick Contract Renewal
Enric Masip, advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, confirmed that the process of renewing the contract of the team's German coach, Hansi Flick, is close to being finalized.
In this context, Masip indicated a state of complete satisfaction between both parties regarding their current collaboration as the football season approaches its end, amidst positive expectations prevailing within the Catalan club.
Masip explained in his statements that the desire to stay is mutual, with the German coach seeing his future at the Spanish club, while the management expresses its satisfaction with the work accomplished so far.
Masip stated: "Everything is going well. Based on what everyone has said, Flick has expressed great happiness here, just as the club feels satisfied with him. It is natural for these negotiations to reach a happy conclusion and close soon."
These developments coincide with the presence of agent Pini Zahavi in Barcelona, which strengthens expectations that his visit is linked to the ongoing negotiations to secure the German coach's continuity. According to Masip's view, the current atmosphere is ideal for concluding this matter, as he emphasized that expectations and feelings are very positive on both sides, considering that reaching a final agreement is the natural outcome of this harmony.
In a related context, the advisor to the Catalan club's president also touched upon other matters concerning the future of some team players, including Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, in addition to Argentine Julián Álvarez. These moves reflect Barcelona's desire to organize its internal affairs and ensure the technical stability of the project led by Flick before preparations begin for the next phase of competitions.
