Panini Launches Largest World Cup Album Ever with 980 Stickers for 2026 Edition
Panini officially launched the official sticker album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, May 5, 2026, making it available to the public in kiosks and supermarkets. The company described this edition as "the largest in its history," with the album comprising 112 pages and featuring a record 980 stickers. This significant increase is directly linked to the tournament's new format, which has expanded to include 48 participating teams for the first time.
The new release includes 68 special stickers, some of which showcase aspects of World Cup history. It also introduces "Panini Extra Stickers," a feature comprising 20 rare stickers available in four different colors and randomly distributed within packs. In the technical preparations for the album, Panini integrated teams that qualified through playoffs, such as Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo, to ensure their inclusion in the printed collections of the current edition.
The team rosters featured in the album revealed notable technical details. France's squad included 18 players, among them Hugo Ekitike, who will miss the World Cup due to injury. Conversely, the list noted the absence of star player Neymar from the Brazilian national team. However, the company may issue corrective stickers later if coach Carlo Ancelotti calls up Neymar before the tournament begins, to compensate for any missing selected names and update the final team lineups.
