Moroccan international Zakaria El Ouahdi has been awarded the 2026 "Ebony Shoe" award, presented to the best player of African descent in the Belgian league. This recognition comes as he continues his remarkable performance with his club Genk this season.
El Ouahdi's triumph follows his exceptional displays over recent months. He surpassed Algerian Adam Zorgane in the race for the award, succeeding his former teammate, Nigerian Tolu Arokodare, who won the previous edition.
