Al Ahly Announces Belamri Suffers Adductor Muscle Tear
Al Ahly Club confirmed that its Moroccan international player, Youssef Belamri, will be sidelined for the next few weeks due to a muscle injury requiring a treatment and rehabilitation program before he can resume competition.
Ahmed Gaballah, the team doctor, stated in a press release to the club's official website that medical examinations revealed Belamri suffered a first-degree tear at the origin of his left adductor muscle.
He added that Belamri will undergo physical therapy in addition to a special rehabilitation program to prepare him for a return as soon as possible.
The player had missed Al Ahly's 3-1 friendly victory over ZED FC on Monday due to the injury. He is also expected to miss the upcoming match against Pyramids FC, with his absence potentially extending to include the highly anticipated derby against Zamalek, scheduled for early May.
It is worth noting that Belamri has participated in 11 matches for Al Ahly since joining the Red Devils from Raja Casablanca during the last winter transfer window.
