Flick Hints at Contract Renewal: "My Dream is to Win the Champions League with Barcelona"
Hansi Flick has expressed his desire to continue his project with Barcelona, affirming that winning the Champions League title remains one of his primary goals, in addition to playing at Camp Nou once the renovation work is complete.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Flick stated: "Winning the Champions League with Barcelona is my biggest dream. There are two things I want. The first, of course, is to win the Champions League. I believe we are capable of that, and we have a fantastic team for the coming years. We need to make the right decisions, especially in the transfer market. We have a young team, and we have great potential."
He added: "The second thing I wish for is to be the coach at Camp Nou when it is completed. I don't know when that will happen, but it always depends on performance and how we play. I give my best for everyone. I like the working atmosphere here; it's like a family. We have a lot of energy in the team despite our exit from the Champions League. We must focus on what remains for us to achieve this season."
Regarding a potential contract renewal, Flick commented: "That's certainly what I'm planning. I've stated this before, and frankly, this will be the last step in my professional career (coaching Barcelona). I feel excellent right now. I want to renew, but this is not the right time to talk about it."
It is worth noting that Barcelona will host Celta Vigo tomorrow, Wednesday, at 20:30 GMT+1, for Week 33 of La Liga.
