Luis Enrique Confirms Fabián Ruiz's Return to Paris Saint-Germain Squad Against Lyon
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has confirmed the return of Spanish midfielder Fabián Ruiz to the squad for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash against Olympique Lyon.
This development marks the end of Ruiz's absence from the pitch since sustaining a left knee injury during a Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon on January 20.
The Spanish coach explained that Ruiz has participated regularly in group training sessions throughout the past week. Luis Enrique stated: "He has trained with the team all week and participated in all training sessions, and if things continue this way, he will be part of the squad on Sunday."
Regarding his match fitness, Enrique indicated that Ruiz might play his first minutes since the injury if the game circumstances allow, affirming his positive condition by saying, "He is in good shape."
In other preparations for the upcoming Ligue 1 Matchday 30 fixture, PSG has also welcomed back Désiré Doué, who resumed group training on Saturday after recovering from a knee injury. However, defender Nuno Mendes appears set to miss the match due to a right thigh injury, while Quentin Ndjantou continues his usual treatment program.
