
Benchiakha: "Ittihad Tanger's Current Situation is Difficult, All Our Remaining Matches Are Finals For Us"
Ittihad Tanger coach Abdelhak Benchikha discussed the team's current situation, acknowledging the difficult circumstances the club is facing, while emphasizing his commitment to continuing his work and making a positive impact.
In a televised statement, Benchikha explained that he received a call from Ittihad Tanger officials and decided to return to lead the team, despite the challenges ahead. He considers this part of the nature of his profession and the responsibility he bears as a coach.
Benchikha stated: "Ittihad Tanger officials contacted me, and I returned this time. The situation the team is going through is difficult, but this is my profession."
The Algerian coach added that the league's break provided an additional opportunity to work on correcting some aspects within the squad and to prepare better for upcoming challenges.
He continued: "I gained more time to work during this break. Regardless of the opponents, all our remaining matches are finals for us," highlighting the importance of every upcoming fixture for the team.
Ittihad Tanger currently sits in 13th place in the professional league standings with 13 points, secured from two wins and seven draws, having suffered six defeats.
