Paris Saint-Germain have qualified for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after defeating Liverpool 2-0 in their quarter-final second-leg match on Tuesday evening.

The first half of the encounter saw intense competition between the two teams, but it concluded goalless with a lack of clear scoring opportunities for either side.

In the second half, French forward Ousmane Dembélé broke the deadlock, scoring the first goal of the match in the 72nd minute. He then added a second for the Parisian club in the 90+1st minute, securing his team's passage to the next round.

Paris Saint-Germain had already won the first leg 2-0, confirming their overall superiority across both matches.

Paris Saint-Germain now await the winner of the match between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, at 20:00 GMT+1.

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi started the match and played the full 90 minutes.
