Barcelona player Lamine Yamal has become the youngest player in La Liga history to reach 100 appearances. He achieved this milestone during his team's match against Espanyol in Week 31 of the competition, at the age of 18 years and 272 days, breaking a long-standing record.

Yamal surpassed the previous record held by Real Madrid legend Raúl González, who reached the same achievement in 1997 at 19 years and 283 days old. Iker Muniain ranks third on the list, having reached the mark at 19 years and 293 days.

The Barcelona player not only achieved this historic milestone but also delivered an outstanding performance against Espanyol. He contributed to the dominant 4-1 victory by assisting two goals scored by his teammate Ferran Torres in the 9th and 25th minutes.

Yamal continues to impress with remarkable performances this season, having participated in 42 matches for Barcelona across all competitions. During this period, he has scored 21 goals and provided several crucial assists.

With this victory, Barcelona solidified their lead in La Liga, moving 9 points clear of their closest rivals in a strong pursuit of the title.
