Flick: "We Must Do Our Duty in La Liga, But the Most Important Thing is to Win the Champions League"
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick confirmed that his team's main goal is to win the Champions League, despite their stumble at home against Atlético Madrid (0-2) in the first leg of the competition's quarter-finals.
The German said in a press conference ahead of the Catalan derby: "La Liga is the foundation, and it is what will enable us to play in the Champions League next season, and the dream is to win the Champions League. That is why we are here."
He then added: "We are performing beyond our capacity in every match. We must do our duty in La Liga, but the most important thing is to win the Champions League. It is a goal for me, for the players, and for the club as a whole."
It is worth noting that Barcelona will host Espanyol in the "Catalan derby" tomorrow, Saturday (17:30 GMT+1), as part of Matchday 31 of the Spanish League (La Liga).
