De Jong Returns to Barcelona Training Ahead of Espanyol and Atletico Madrid Clashes
Frenkie de Jong returned to participate in Barcelona's training session on Thursday, following a six-week absence due to injury.
The Dutch star took part in a portion of the collective training session with his teammates, in preparation for resuming competitive action after a period away from the pitch.
Press reports indicated that De Jong did not complete the full training session, only participating in a part of it, as reported by the Spanish newspaper "Sport".
The technical staff intends to include the player in the squad for Saturday evening's match against Espanyol, while he is expected to play a pivotal role in the subsequent encounter against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
His preparations had previously included individual training sessions on Tuesday, before rejoining the group.
