At the start of the second half, specifically in the 46th minute, Harry Kane doubled the Bavarian club's lead with a powerful low shot from the edge of the penalty area. Real Madrid players then quickly tried to reorganize themselves.

The 71st minute saw the introduction of Moroccan international Brahim Diaz, who came on as a substitute for Arda Güler, in an attempt to revitalize the attack.

Trent Arnold delivered a low cross from the right flank after an organized attack by Real Madrid players around the 74th minute. Kylian Mbappé received it with a successful shot into the net, scoring Real Madrid's only goal of the match.
