Arbeloa Focuses on Bayern Munich Champions League Clash, Refuses to Discuss Future
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa has stated that his professional future is not currently occupying his thoughts, as his full focus is on preparing the team for their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich.
Arbeloa clarified that the club's sole objective is to secure victory in this crucial continental encounter, emphasizing that the team is not considering any scenarios other than overcoming the German club.
These preparations follow Real Madrid's recent loss to Real Mallorca, which saw the gap with Barcelona in La Liga widen to seven points, with only eight matches remaining until the end of the season.
In this context, Arbeloa described the atmosphere within the team after the recent defeat as being similar to any other dressing room after a loss. He added, “The pain might be greater because no club tolerates defeat like Real Madrid.”
Despite potential absences and pressures, Arbeloa stressed his belief in his players' ability to deliver, asserting that they are focused solely on winning. He stated that “tomorrow's match is a do-or-die encounter.”
Regarding the risk of suspensions, the coach noted that the players are fully aware of their situation, indicating that “they will not hesitate to pick up a card if it is in the team's best interest.”
