Ancelotti Set to Extend Brazil Contract Until 2030
Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is poised to renew his contract with the Brazilian national team, extending his tenure until 2030. Both the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Ancelotti have expressed a mutual desire to continue their collaboration.
While the current contract, which runs until the end of July this year, has not yet been officially renewed, the final signing is anticipated in the coming days, followed by a formal announcement of the agreement.
According to "ESPN Brasil," the CBF finalized the details of the new contract earlier this week. The drafts have since been sent to Ancelotti, awaiting his signature.
This step is largely considered a formality within the Confederation, as all contract terms were agreed upon in recent weeks. A final review by the Italian coach's lawyers is currently underway.
Ancelotti will maintain his annual salary of 10 million euros, making him the highest-paid coach in the history of the Brazilian national team. His technical staff members, however, will receive salary increases at his request.
Due to legal restrictions concerning long-term employment contracts, the new agreement will be structured in two phases: an initial two-year contract, followed by an automatic extension for an additional two years. This arrangement will cover a total of four years, leading up to the 2030 World Cup.
The contract is expected to be signed digitally, as Ancelotti is currently in Canada with his family and will remain in Vancouver until the end of April.
It is worth noting that the Brazilian national team has been drawn into Group C of the 2026 World Cup, alongside Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti.
