FIFA Raises Category 1 World Cup Final Ticket Price to $11,000
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced an increase in the price of Category 1 tickets for the 2026 World Cup final to $11,000. This adjustment comes as ticket sales reopened following the confirmation of all 48 participating teams for the competition.
The same ticket category was initially priced at $8,680 when first released after the World Cup draw last December.
The price hike also affected Category 2 tickets for the final, scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium, rising from $5,575 to $7,380. Category 3 tickets saw an increase from $4,185 to $5,785.
As of Wednesday evening, only tickets for 17 out of 72 group stage matches had been released, with no tickets yet available for knockout stage games.
For comparison, the most expensive ticket for the 2022 Qatar World Cup final between France and Argentina was priced at $1,600.
