Real Madrid Unhappy with England Management After Bellingham Plays No Minutes
Real Madrid has expressed its dissatisfaction with the way the English national team staff managed midfielder Jude Bellingham during the recent international break. The player traveled to join his national team but did not play a single minute in the two matches against Uruguay and Japan.
The Spanish club considered this travel an unnecessary effort, especially since the player was in a recovery phase from a muscle injury and needed competitive participation rather than just training before resuming important continental commitments.
The management of the Royal club believes that the effort Bellingham expended in traveling provided no tangible benefit, given his need to regain match rhythm before the anticipated clash against Bayern Munich.
In this regard, England coach Thomas Tuchel explained the reasons for not fielding the player, stating: "We will not risk Jude because he is returning from a muscle injury, and it is impossible to predict what might happen." He indicated that caution was the primary choice to maintain the player's physical safety and avoid any potential complications.
Bellingham will now have to rely on Real Madrid's upcoming match against Real Mallorca as his sole opportunity to accumulate competitive minutes before the Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich.
Conversely, the international break saw thirteen Real Madrid players return to the Spanish capital without any new injuries. Coach Álvaro Arbeloa utilized the absence of the internationals to increase the training loads for the available players at the Valdebebas sports complex, aiming to ensure the group's overall physical balance.
