
Exclusive: Egyptian and Rwandan Referees to Officiate Olympique Safi and USM Alger Confederation Cup Matches
Al-Botola.com has learned from its private sources within the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Referees Committee that the officials for the first and second leg matches between Morocco's Olympique Safi and Algeria's USM Alger in the African Confederation Cup semi-finals have been officially appointed.
The first leg is scheduled to take place in Algeria on Saturday, April 11, at the July 5 Stadium in Algiers, kicking off at 4:00 PM GMT.
An Egyptian refereeing crew will officiate the first leg, led by referee Amin Omar. He will be assisted by Mahmoud Abu El-Regal and Ahmed Hossam Taha. Mohamed Maarouf will serve as the fourth official, while Mahmoud Ashour will be in charge of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, assisted by Hossam Azab.
The return leg is set to be played at Stade El Massira on Sunday, April 19, with a 7:00 PM GMT kick-off.
Rwandan referee Samuel Uwikunda will oversee the second leg. He will be assisted by Kenya's Gilbert Cheruiyot and Angola's Oliver Lopez Sanchez. Chad's Mohamed El Hadj Ali will be the fourth official. The VAR system will be managed by Senegalese referee Issa Sy, with his compatriot Djibril Camara assisting as the Assistant VAR (AVAR).
