“Catastrophic Error”: Real Madrid Sacks Medical Staff After Examining Mbappe's Healthy Knee Instead of Injured One
Reports have revealed that Real Madrid committed a serious diagnostic error regarding star Kylian Mbappé's left knee injury. This news was initially announced by Daniel Riolo last Monday on the "After Foot" program on RMC radio and was subsequently confirmed by Spanish radio station COPE.
Sources indicated that Mbappé visited a prominent knee specialist in France. They noted that "an incorrect diagnosis was made in Madrid, which he apparently disliked and was even angry about," adding that "the player sought a second opinion from a doctor (in France) who seemingly observed that the work done in Madrid was not good."
The source further stated that the Royal Club dismissed its medical staff following this incident, citing the "extremely catastrophic" diagnosis made for Mbappé's knee. This led to the dismissal of the entire team, in addition to a series of other injuries.
Spanish journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz, for his part, revealed the details of the error, explaining that "Real Madrid, in its initial diagnosis, mistook the knee; instead of examining Mbappé's left knee, they examined his right knee."
Kylian Mbappé consulted Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet in France, who confirmed that Real Madrid's medical staff had done "poor work" and proposed a muscle-strengthening protocol that allowed the player to avoid surgery and achieve a full recovery.
