UEFA Confirms Champions League Final Ticket Prices, Introduces Black Market Counter-Policy
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the ticket prices for the UEFA Champions League Final, scheduled for May 30 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary. UEFA decided to freeze prices at last year's levels, ranging from 70 to 950 Euros. A new resale policy has been introduced to curb the black market phenomenon by obliging sellers to offer tickets at their face value without imposing any additional fees.
Each of the two finalist clubs will receive 17,200 tickets from the stadium's total capacity of 61,400 spectators. An additional 4,600 tickets will be made available through a global lottery via UEFA's official website, with a maximum of two tickets per purchaser. UEFA emphasized the necessity of adhering to technical entry controls, stating: "Successful applicants must use a registered mobile phone to access the stadium on match day, as the buyer's ticket is non-transferable."
In the context of the new regulatory measures, access to purchase resale tickets will be granted exclusively to fans who were unsuccessful in the initial lottery. The European football governing body affirmed that "Access to purchase resale tickets will be granted exclusively to selected fans who were unsuccessful in the lottery," aiming to ensure transparent ticket distribution and prevent illicit profits from traditional resale operations outside official channels.
The specified price categories include 180, 650, and 950 Euros, while the lowest category price has remained stable at 70 Euros for the third consecutive year. This same value is allocated to disabled fans, who also receive a free ticket for a companion. In parallel with these arrangements, made in consultation with Football Supporters Europe, over 22,000 tickets have been allocated to sponsors, national associations, broadcasters, and guests of the continental federation.
