Laporta Officially Wins Barcelona Presidency Until 2031
Joan Laporta, along with his team, celebrated his victory in the presidential elections for Barcelona, triumphing over his rival, Victor Font.
Laporta enthusiastically marked his return to the presidency of the Catalan club, following his "necessary" resignation to re-run in the elections held this Sunday.
The final count from Barcelona's presidential elections revealed that Laporta secured 68.18% of the votes, while Font received 29.78%.
With this result, Laporta will lead Barcelona for a third term, which is set to last for five years, extending until 2031.
It is noted that Laporta will officially assume the Barcelona presidency again starting next July 1, with Rafa Rosty continuing in the position until then.
