Atlético Madrid Partners with Netflix for New Peaky Blinders Film Promotion
Spanish club Atlético Madrid has announced a partnership with Netflix to launch a special promotional campaign. The initiative aims to support the upcoming release of the film "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man." As part of this collaboration, several first-team players participated in filming a short movie inspired by the iconic Shelby family from the series. Both parties seek to merge the worlds of football and cinema, offering a unique experience for fans.
Koke, Giménez, Griezmann, Alexander Sørloth, and Ademola Lookman featured in the short film, dressed in attire and set in an atmosphere reminiscent of early 20th-century Birmingham. The production is currently available on the club's official channels and the global streaming platform. The campaign will culminate this coming Saturday at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium during the match against Getafe, where the venue will host events inspired by the acclaimed drama.
The planned stadium events include transforming the fan zone to reflect the film's identity, organizing a cinematic arrival for the team, and a special half-time show. To enhance the immersive experience, VIP boxes 18 and 19 will be converted into a replica of the renowned Garrison pub. This initiative allows Netflix to leverage Spanish football as a broad platform to promote what is anticipated to be one of the year's most prominent cinematic releases.
