FAR Rabat Condemns "Incendiary" Radio Comments, Vows to Protect Club's Dignity and History
FAR Rabat Football Club has expressed strong condemnation of remarks deemed offensive to its players, which were made by a guest during a program broadcast on a private radio station. The club labeled these statements as irresponsible and damaging to its image.
In an official statement, the military club clarified its astonishment at such statements being allowed to air on a public media platform, especially as it is not the first instance. The same individual had previously made hostile remarks against the club's fans following a penalty issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
FAR Rabat indicated that the dissemination of such views raises serious questions about how individuals are given a platform to make statements that could incite discord within the football community and insult the components of a venerable club that has always been, and continues to be, a driving force in national football.
The club concluded its statement by emphasizing that it remains a national sports institution founded on values of mutual respect. It affirmed that it will not, under any circumstances, accept any affront to its dignity, or any insult to its components, history, or standing within the football arena.
