Flick: "Newcastle Very Dangerous on Fast Counter-Attacks, We Must Be Cautious"
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick confirmed that their upcoming Champions League opponent, Newcastle United, is a very dangerous team and caution must be exercised during both legs of the Round of 16 tie.
The German coach stated in a press conference: "It won't be easy. Every team in the Champions League strives to give their best. Newcastle are very dangerous on fast counter-attacks."
He continued: "The English Premier League is the best league in the world. They have a lot of money, and we (La Liga) are just as strong. We must play according to our philosophy and show it to the world."
He concluded: "Newcastle play well, they press man-to-man, and they are quick in offensive transitions. We must be careful."
Barcelona will visit Newcastle in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tomorrow, Tuesday (20:00 GMT), at St. James' Park.
